An Americorps position with L'Arche Portland, an inter-faith community where people with and without intellectual disabilities create home and build community together. Care Specialist spearheaded the development of updated and organized tracking systems for appointment follow-ups, medical documentation, and licensing requirements for Core Members (adults with intellectual disabilities). Developed an accessible emergency preparedness training video for earthquake safety for all members of L'Arche Portland. Assisted in the implementation and tracking of Core Member annual and individual goals. Facilitated team meetings, led volunteer projects and community events, and strengthened community within and outside of the homes.
