• Operate a broad range of sophisticated graphic programs to design and illustrate materials such as fliers, posters, newsletters, brochures, graphs, reports, social media posts, and marketing materials for City initiatives and events.• Determine the scope of projects and clarify the intended message and audience for all materials. Develop written copy, graphics, and visual images to illustrate the message, and photograph and/or select images when needed. • Research and write articles, take photographs, and craft design for internal and external publications, including City of Irvine’s quarterly magazine Inside Irvine and monthly employee magazine GrapeVine.• Maintain City webpages, creating new collateral, updating content, and monitoring for accuracy and accessibility. • Create graphics and videos, along with corresponding copy, for the City’s primary social media accounts; review and respond to public inquiries and comments on social media sites.
