As a Program Coordinator at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), I work with a team of lawyers and social workers to provide legal and social services to unaccompanied immigrant children facing deportation. I manage the intake, screening, and referral of cases, as well as the coordination and communication with pro bono attorneys, partner agencies, and government officials.I have a Master of Arts in International Community Development from Southeastern University, where I focused on child and family advocacy. I also have a Bachelor of Science in University Studies from East Carolina University, where I studied child development and human rights. I am fluent in Spanish and English, and have experience in administration, customer service, and project management. I am passionate about empowering vulnerable and marginalized communities, especially children, and promoting social justice and human dignity.
