Jacques re-joined his company in 2006 in an active role till March of 2009 after which he sold his share. Jacques was ask to join Tubular as an IT Consultant to offer specialist skills in security best practices, IT Governance, designing of IT policies, re-designing and planning of the corporate network for 2009 till 2010 Jacques then took position at Cape Town Films Studios as the ICT Manager / Project Manager for the studios at the tail end of the project Jacques and his team had an enormous task of taking this current virgin network and re-designing, configuring and integrating all the required systems for operational status in just little over a month total estimated cost of 32 Million in value. Jacques was the Technical Director with his partners in Datategra which offer IT Project Management in the IT security and IP networking infrastructure arena until late 2016Jacques was the Huawei Enterprise & Cloud BU BDM at Pinnacle from 2016 to 2020 focusing on growing the Huawei brand within South Africa and SADC with partners.Jacques then joined AIEQ- Sytems (PTY) Ltd as the CTO and returning to his roots in Cyber Security and Cloud Services. The Studio deals on a daily basis with international film studios and production companies. Sophisticated communication and data systems are at the core of our business.The Studio was recently rated by the Hollywood Reporter to be among the top state-of-the-art facilities in the world.Jacques played a major role in helping us to achieve that status.When starting on the tail end of the project Jacques and his team had an enormous task of taking this current virgin network and re-designing, configuring and integrating all the required systems for operational status in just little over a month from arriving which was done. At the start CTFS has a single flat network with a 1GB backbone which was redesigned to a 20GB backbone all our soundstages and workshops and converting the single flat network into a total of 21 VLANS to cater for security and privacy between the international movie production houses onsite which was implement and completed by him.The data bandwidth requirements we needed at Cape Town Film Studios was not heard of yet and to make complication worse the Studio was not able to bring fibre to the data centre yet due to current developments in the area but in the end Jacques resolved this and was able to get the studio 3 links to give the studio a total international bandwidth of up to 100MB’s per second to cater for the high speed data transfers required to be sent to overseas studios and post production houses in LA, Europe and Australia which ranged from 50GB to just over a 1 Terabyte in a day. The knowledge from the previous projects was a great advantage which helped as optimise areas within the studio which we did not think off at that time -
