 Read and interpret all designs and information provided by the engineering and supply chain departments. Understand basic planning techniques for work distribution and activities scheduled, both before and after. Be able to organize information and equipment requirements, as quickly as possible, in a Work Order that can be easily understood by the Production Department. Estimate resource requirements and the duration of activities on the schedule. Have a solid understanding of the production facilities and resource capacities, such as space constraints, equipment and qualified operators, and verify their availability in order to meet the project requirements. Manage the allocation of work order budgets while respecting the overall budget. Provide reports and calculation sheets, as required, on work progress. Participate in project resources planning. Help other planners, when necessary, in order to respect the deadline.

 Verify the availability of human resources and assign tasks so as to maximize resources. Verify the availability of safety equipment and material resources. Follow up on work progress on a regular basis. Inspect the work completed. Monitor quality, costs and deadlines. Ensure follow-up on supply. Study, understand and manage projects. Analyze and discuss projects in order to determine the needs of end users. Ensure that standards set by the applicable classification societies are respected (Lloyd's Register,Germanischer Lloyd, Bureau Veritas, Transport Canada, etc.) Apply ISO standards in documents and work methods. Compile lists of project stakeholders and determine their different interests. Plan tasks for team members and develop a list of work to be completed in chronological order accordingto the different project intervenors (welding, plumbing, etc.) to establish an efficient schedule. Supervise and participate in the installation of the different maritime work sites.
