My career in the ICT space spans over three decades, and has given me in-depth market knowledge and vast industry expertise. I have been privileged to have worked at some of SA’s top technology companies, including Axiz, and Westcon Africa and all the top global technology vendors. The ICT industry is evolving, not only in terms of technology, but in how it is consumed, and I closely monitor the adoption life cycle and the effect on business models. At Axiz, I initially focussed on on-boarding and expanding our data centre, as well as next generation data-driven ICT modelling, ICT channel transformation, building advanced digital generation ICT service-distribution business models, and helping businesses interpret what causes internal and external stress to their models.Today, companies must be responsive and agile, to react quickly to market changes to avoid being left behind. My aim is to ensure that we keeps our resellers and integrators ahead of the curve, so they can implement new technologies, to solve business challenges. One of these, is automation and servitization. We work with our vendors to deliver true ecosystems, that build on each partner’s competence, to maximise value for their clients. The advances we have seen in robotics, AI, and machine learning are heralding a new age of automation, machines outperform human performance not only in stamina, but in a variety activities, including those that need cognitive capabilities.We also want to smooth the way for our partners to adopt these technologies themselves, without the the hassle of onerous, and lengthy technical training, and aim to transform businesses from broad-line providers, to speciality, digital first, services-led distributors.My specialities include ICT value acquisition strategies, building and orchestrating new channel and distribution business models, growing multi-discipline or complex business idea companies in the ICT space, and harnessing the power of digital transformation.
