I have over 30 years varied human service experience in State, Local Government, and non-government organisations, in both metropolitan and regional WA. My career has focussed on frontline support services across early childhood, youth, mental health, drug & alcohol, disability, family carers and suicide prevention.From 2014 - 2019 I worked in the WA NDIS pioneering team assisting people with disability and their families to access the NDIS and create funded plans to allow them to meet their needs and achieve their goals.In July 2019 I was selected as part of a small team to implement a 2 year trial of the Local Communities Coordination prototype; a State Government early intervention and prevention approach assisting people to avoid crisis by building capacity, developing connections and accessing information. I always volunteer on several community committees, currently these include Mindful Margaret River, Suicide Prevention Margaret River, Margaret River Community Centre, Riverslea Community Group and the South West Suicide Prevention Steering Group.
