Director of Operations - The Learning Enterprise (previously part of Virgin Care, now part of HCRG Care Group, Apr 2014 – Present • Setting strategic direction for the team to deliver modern training & development for 5,000 colleagues and other partners, with excellent governance recognised through the Skills for Health Quality Mark. • At pace (within 6 weeks at the start of the pandemic) converted all training into remote learning, designed new learning, trained teachers, supported colleagues and brought in new systems with minimal disruption to front line colleagues who were delivering new care to support clinical colleagues • Set up the team as a Main Apprenticeship Training Provider in 2016 and successfully led the organisation/TLE to achieve Ofsted rating - Outstanding Training Provider in 2021 at the first inspection• Established a thriving customer base for our training services to external partner organisations• Created and delivered Senior Leadership development including development to support the succession planning of future MDs and Directors. • Delivered over 350 coaching sessions to individual leaders at all levels specialising in the areas of individual performance, growth and resilience. A Certified Type Coach and Thomas International Practitioner.

• Established the clinical services for the Southern Region of Virgin Care. Mobilised five new clinical services into the Virgin Care portfolio.• Delivered safe, cost-effective, efficient, and high-quality NHS-commissioned services, working closely with our commissioners, and developed new business.

• Managed clinical services of £90m turnover and 3,000 staff. Achieved a consistent record of delivery of quality and performance targets, with financial break-even in every year including a further £15M saving in 2 years. • Established and led the Transforming Clinical Services Programme, to meet expectations within the Dept of Health clinical guides and then Quality Improvement agenda, offering value for money and meeting commissioning intentions.

• Created and then led Surrey Community Health Services under the legal entity of Surrey PCT, one of the largest providers of community services in the NHS, with at that time over 3,500 staff. • Achieved 18% budget saving through the formation of the new organisation, restructuring and improving service processes whilst maintaining safe services and improving quality. • Successfully led Surrey Community Health to prepare for its first separate healthcare declaration for the Community Services and registration with Care Quality Commission without condition. • Mentored and developed the senior team in new commercial and leadership skills and rolled out coaching training and business and finance skills in the organisation for senior managers to embed the new culture in community services.

• Responsible for the development and delivery of adult and older people services (1500 staff). Budget circa £30m. • Developed capital business cases and then delivered two major capital developments at Walton and Weybridge Hospitals on time and to budget, keeping services running throughout. • Produced and delivered the clinical strategy for adults and older people and successfully navigated the associated public consultation.

• Created the vision and gained agreement from five NHS and Social Care organisations within the system for the development of an integrated Therapy Directorate. • Established the directorate and then delivered services to agreed specification and on budget (£5m). • Established and then delivered a successful Preceptor programme for new registrants.• Achieved Investors in People Award.

Lead and developed the OT & AT services for mental health and learning disabilities (inpatients, community)
