In this role, I had to use my own initiative to prepare and create lesson plans for English, Science and History classes as well as communicate effectively with other teachers in the native language. I was responsible for up to 30 students at a time and I feel that I handled this leadership role very well. This role enabled me to build on a number of skills, namely communication, approachability, creativity and decision-making.

My role involved managing face-to-face interactions with clients, processing invoices and sales, production sheets and dealing with despatch dockets on a daily basis. I often prepared and managed excel spreadsheets regarding Invest NI grants, ensuring that the information was processed correctly and finished on time. I used Sage Accounting software to handle general ledgers accounts, as well as Payroll, where I had to ensure employees’ wages were paid promptly every week. In addition, I was occasionally presented the opportunity to exercise my language skills to communicate with overseas customers.
