I'm a cyber officer developing solutions to support and instrument C2 applications at the Air Force's JADC2 Battle Lab. We are the 805th Combat Training Squadron, otherwise known as ShOC-N.

Working at Badger was the opportunity of a lifetime. They brought me on during my 3rd year of university and handed me the keys to their IT kingdom so to speak. I built and maintained multiple web applications, used both as internal tools and customer facing applications. I managed cloud deployments and infrastructure for 2 full stack applications, including deployment pipelines, QA and testing, DB and cloud storage, and staging and production environments. I got to build and maintain applications using Vue.js and React.js, Node.js, MongoDB and PostgreSQL, I also got to use infrastructure tools like Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.The management at Badger gave me ownership of my work, both successes and failures. We would discuss goals and I would be free to tactically decide how to make those a reality. It didn't always go as planned, and I made some wrong decisions that ended up wasting company resources (usually just time). We had some major wins that really propelled the company forward, and gave meaning and joy to my work. I learned the importance of proper planning, and bringing all stakeholders into the same room to hash out priorities.

Working at Cricket was my first job in college when I got home from my religious service mission. I loved working at Cricket, because I worked with amazing people, and I got to talk to amazing customers every day. My job was to set people up with the phone and phone plan that best suited them. I also got to help troubleshoot technical issues. Another great thing about this job was that I got to speak Spanish every day.
