I plan to expand my understanding of legal and political frameworks in order to develop into a leader in the public sector due to my interests in law, policy, and political science. I’m driven by my passion for civic and political engagement and these areas are why I aspire to contribute solutions that address marginalized communities and enhance my community's trust in the government.As a Black woman committed to the advancement of diversity and inclusion, I am an advocate for allowing underrepresented voices to come to light in civic and judicial areas. I want to foster environments where diverse perspectives are valued and inspire inclusive policies for the betterment of society. Currently on campus, I want to continue to integrate myself into spaces where women of color's voices can be heard, and join organizations that promote the development of Black women. I’ve already taken the liberty of joining the student council for the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. I will continue to make my university a more inclusive and engaged community which will ultimately aid in the development of my career path.
