I am a sportswomen who takes pride in representing my country and balancing my sports career with my academic persuits. I study Health administration at a masters level in the University of illinois urban champaign where i look to enhance my skills within this aspect of life. Being a part of illinois is allowing me to get big life experiences and knowledge of the healthcare systems globally. Representing my sport in an intenational level has allowed for me to learni discipline and the importance of being a team player. My personal beliefs surrounding teamwork is that communication is important for any team to thrive, i have learnt this within my multiple times of representing Great Britain internationally, including the latest Paralympics. Outisde of sport i have committed myself to my studies which has helped me learn the importance of time management and orginisational skills, my studies also consist of a bsc degree in health and social care. Health and social care has taught me how to interact with lots of different individuals that may have different needs, this had been supported by my voluntry work with British Wheelchair Basketballs aspire a generation where i had faced working with many children with different levels of impairement and had helped coaching them.
