Lead physiologist for LTPC. Defining the physiological strategy and coordinating support provision whilst mentoring two placement students.

2 year placement, in the 2nd year leading physiology support for the Loughborough Triathlon Performance Centre (LTPC). This role involved the planning and provision of structured laboratory and field-based physiological and performance testing across all disciplines. Other responsibilities included providing health and wellbeing support, education regarding warm-ups and tapering strategies, and leading heat acclimation strategies. Whilst on this placement I also supported the athletics program with physiological testing and produced a training session resource for injured athletes. Other activities involved leading CPD sessions during my 2nd year attending, mentoring an undergraduate placement student and producing social media graphics on key physiological concepts such as optimising warm ups.

Responsible for the development, maintenance, and feedback of a proactive wellness monitoring system. Additional roles included delivering targeted 1:1 wellbeing support, and athlete education on optimising training adaptation and recovery strategies.

An undergraduate placement role in physiology, strength and conditioning and physiotherapy services at TeamBath.
