After approaching the management team of the Gordon Highlanders Museum who were looking for voluntary work, I received a position within the guiding and research team. This position is in addition to my employment and studies. Within this role I show visitors around the five star museum providing an educational service for all visitors in regards to the regiment’s history. With the research department I have been given the opportunity to transcribe the diary of a Captain of the regiment, which details his time in Africa during the Second World War. After my good work with the research department I have progressed to helping the document assistant and the curator with the data basing of archives through the ADLIB online catalogue.

I was responsible for taking student tours around the university and helping out with key events around the university. I aided the public with their needs and questions and provided insightful anecdotes about the university to keep the tours interesting
