What can I say about me? I guess tons since there’s a 2,600 character max. Well, I’m a Marketer - by passion, not just by profession. As you’ll see from my profile, I’ve held several roles as said marketer throughout my professional lifetime up to this point. But you’re never done learning and growing! Which is why marketing has become a passion of mine. In the world of marketing, you can always expect the next fresh and innovative idea to be right around the corner. As a current Marketing manager, I proudly take the lead on what that next innovative creation can be. In my day-to-day interactions with clients and colleagues, I’m able to bring bright ideas and encourage creativity within my team. Whether it’s creating email content for newsletters that surpassed the industry benchmark for open (142%!) and clickthrough (23%!) or sharing stories that highlight businesses’ achievements, I am honored to be able to contribute to ever changing market trends and best practices. I have 7+ years experience in marketing campaign development, project management, technical writing, event management, and CRM utilization…which all lends its hand to the skills, knowledge and experiences I have acquired thus far. Outside of servicing clients, I participate in several Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Why you ask? Because like Marketing, it is also my passion but even more so, my purpose. As a young African American woman nothing means more to me than the fair treatment of all people, acceptance and authenticity. To help drive this purpose, I have had many opportunities to serve as a member on a DEI committee as well as a marketing board member (go-figure!) for the Council of Women in Energy & Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) to promote the importance of inclusivity and social awareness.
