Presently supporting Production, Development, Stage, and Testing systems in unclassified and classified environments for the Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent program. Optimizing database solutions for multi-terabyte databases. Implemented performance tuning, capacity planning, and database environments for both RAC and non-RAC. Provided high-availability solutions with Oracle multi-tenancy database architecture (CDB & PDB) and backup solutions using RMAN. Oversaw the implementation of new databases based on customer needs and data specifications. Communicate technical concepts to non-technical management and provide ongoing 24-7 support.

The lab pairs sponsoring companies with Tepper School students and Heinz College, to address real-world business problems. Currently, I am leading a team of 5 graduate students working with the City of Whitefish Fire Department to develop, analyze, and recommend new fire service locations based on spatial, demographic, and economic data. The team was able to create a framework that would provide any community with a good base in advocating for more emergency coverage. The outcome was large reduction in $$$ that will lead to a potential network integration. The network solution will provide an additional 90% - 100% fire coverage for the community. Hardened Red Hat machines and tested each database to reduce the potential for corruption that would cost $50K per hour per database if the database was non-operational.
