This required the hiring of local handymen, electricians, plumbers, and other technicians to repair whatever maintenance needs the store may have needed. Moreover, this job required a great deal of customer service skills as I would work with store managers and technicians to ensure the maintenance job had been done satisfactorily.

At Orchard View Adult Education I served as both a teacher's aide and intern under the director. During my time at OVAE, I was responsible for helping at-risk individuals reach their goals of attaining a high school diploma or GED along with other administrative tasks the director assigned to me. I mostly helped these students with mathematics and helped them pass classes such as Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and other personal finance classes the curriculum provided. Another aspect of this job was to be there for these individuals and be an ally for them because that is something they never really had prior to attending OVAE.

For my time as an assistant manager at Lids I was tasked with selling hats, touching every hat to make it look nice, help sales associates train, and embroider designs on the sides of hats. This job, much like any retail job, required great customer service and sales skills. Additionally, it required a little bit of creativity, as well as some of the sales, were to help individuals take their ideas and translate that into a design on a hat.
