MIITO was a Berlin-based design & hardware startup that developed a new kitchen device with which you could heat any liquid in a vessel of your choice. The company had a successful Crowdfunding campaign that presold 6300 units, raising ca. 800k€, and won many awards for its innovative design.My Finance role at MIITO Gmbh included:- Mission: support the founders to bring the product to market and build a sustainable business after the initial success of raising 800k€ via Crowdfunding- Tasks: set up core company structures and processes, develop a project plan from product development to market entry, assess the capital need and identify financing options. - Challenged and supported the founders towards developing a sustainable and long-term business model for their company, beyond delivering on their crowdfunding campaign promise.- Prepare the monthly accounting and review our financial plan (plan vs reality gap analysis)

Keydock was founded in May 2014 with the ambition to build reception desks for Airbnb travelers in cool, local cafés. We started by offering a key exchange service in 25 partner cafés in Berlin, with the plan to gradually add more services. Keydock joined the You Is Now Accelerator of Immobilienscout24 and won the Berlin round of the 1776 World Cup.We closed Keydock in August 2015 because of unfavorable regulation for P2P apartment rentals that resulted in low traction.As a co-founder, I was responsible for building and executing the overall business strategy. Special focus lay on managing product development, branding & communication and administration.

Audit Associate during a 3-months internship in LondonI first worked for 2 weeks on a very large client, where I was able to get an insight into the overall organisation of the audit process.I then joined the team for a smaller client on which I stayed for 10 weeks and where I was able to gradually receive increased responsibility, starting from simple bank statements to being responsible for the audit of a small but entire entity of the client.
