In my time at Pearson I have been tasked with three priorities, as my role has changed over time. These are:a) Senior solution engineering, (architecture through to operational support) of Pearson] IT projects that embrace digital delivery of Pearson products to learners everywhere. This includes engineering the necessary frameworks for successful cloud usage that minimises cost and increases availability and stability. b) Cloud governance processes and delivery of the technology to deliver the benefits of good governance, whilst setting projects on the right path for a successful digital transformation journey. Such as when to use refactoring, vs re-platforming; along with using cloud programmes such as spot and reserved instance strategies to offset cloud open costs. c) Service Management Office - Building a forward facing framework for Change, Incident and Problem Management.
