I'm a Black person deeply committed to community organizing, with my journey beginning in 2020 when I joined Springfield Tenants Unite. The events of 2021, including facing homelessness, further ignited my passion for organizing. I've since played a pivotal role in impactful initiatives, such as developing a city council voter guide and co-organizing an artist showcase that deeply resonated with our community. Mobilizing bases of tenants for tenants' rights at Springfield's city council stands as a testament to our collective strengthAs a Field Lead at Empower Missouri, I fuse my passion for justice with the power of data analytics. I meticulously gather, clean, and analyze data from canvassers, offering timely solutions and strategic insights to advance our mission.Music is my soul's language, and as the drummer and co-founder of Unessential Jane, I use our platform to amplify messages of revolution. Our tracks like 'Imagine,' 'Ballroom,' and 'Walled Up' echo the struggles against housing disparities, predatory practices, and human rights violations.Looking ahead, my commitment is to leverage my data skills to empower justice organizations, advocating fervently for housing rights with Springfield Tenants Unite and championing anti-poverty policies with Empower Missouri. Through music, I seek to kindle a fire in hearts, inspiring a movement toward a world where everyone's fundamental needs are met. I envision these two worlds converging, using data as our compass to navigate toward a brighter tomorrow.
