About Jaideep Singh

While on the path to obtaining my B.S. in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University, I have become deeply interested in leveraging technology to address real-world challenges and am specifically keen on exploring data engineering and analysis opportunities. So far, I have undertaken internships at the CWRU Department of Population and Health Sciences, CLEANR, CEI (Computer Enterprises Inc.), and the Mayor's Office or Urban Analytics & Innovation in Cleveland. Through these work experiences, I have gained hands-on experience in web application development, data engineering, data analysis, and machine learning cloud solutions. In addition, I have been actively learning about AI/ML through Coursera certifications and projects that can be found on my GitHub (jdeepsingh28). Beyond my technical skills, I believe in giving back to the community; so, I served as the Service Chair of CWRU's Sigma Chi Fraternity and initiated long-lasting partnerships with the Cleveland Botanical Gardens and GIFT2U Resources.

Most notably, I deduplicated the city cemetery records (430k) by removing 25k duplicate records through Databricks. Furthermore, I was able to identify 5,300 additional duplicates by utilizing partial match scoring. Additionally, I spent time in Power BI performing audits on the city's datasets and creating reports/dashboards for internal use and stakeholders presenting to the city cabinet.

    At CEI, I worked with a team of interns to perform a website reconstruction. Work was set up in scrum format with daily meetings with team managers and weekly progress meetings with clients and higher-level management. I was also asked to explore the landscape of different cloud-based machine-learning solutions. So, I investigated Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud features and determined that Google Cloud was the best option for quick ML model implementations due to Vertex AI.

    Was tasked with developing a file migration application for a research team. After understanding the team’s priorities, I designed a Python-based solution to streamline a large file migration through WordPress. This tool enhanced team efficiency by allowing users to download a dataset while tracking the key attributes of each download such as use cases, sources, location within the server, etc. through a WordPress post. After deployment, users reported saving 10-15 minutes in environment setup time.
