Managerial duties include running shift lists, handling large amounts of cash and transactions, dealing with complaints and/or issues between staff or guests, as well as having a high knowledge of all aspects of the venue including mechanical, technical and safety aspects. Time management skills are a must as all tasks that are needing to be performed will have to be executed before closing/opening times. Proper appointment management skills are needed as staff will need to be called in or rostered on shifts. The Mechanical Duties include fixing electrical and mechanical issues that arise within the bowling lanes or arcade games whilst also working around safety hazards such as electrical or mechanical. Issues sustained must be completed quickly and properly so that guests will not be waiting and can continue with their day. As a technician I have gained basic experience with tools and equipment that excel my knowledge and can be applied in a laboring workplace.
