Bill for clients on MA, EW, CADI, and MSHOs. Communicate with payers, case managers, and insurance companies regularly.

Assist with the planning and implementation of activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents; Help design programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation and fulfillment, and improve daily living skills; Work under the supervision of the Activities Director.

As the Health Unit Coordinator, I work directly under the Director of Nursing creating charts for new admissions, answering the facility phone, ordering labs, procedures, breaking down the chart after a patient is discharged and anything else the Director may order. I also stock supplies, stock the printer & fax machine with paper, compile the Medication Administration Records (MAR) for the nurses, update the Kardex on patients, enter new clients into Eldermark, update Eldermark as needed, and monitor service checkoff lists for correct completion. Assisting the residents by scheduling doctors' appointments and transportation, ordering medical supplies, and answering any questions they may have concerning our facility and their care are daily tasks completed by myself.
