Manage the Digital Conversion Initiative (DCI) for Harford County Public Schools. The purpose of DCI is to improve student achievement in Reading-Language Arts through implementation of a technology-rich, blended learning environment. As Project Director, I work collaboratively with district and school leadership to develop and continuously improve strategy, mitigate risk, identify points of friction and develop solutions, develop training timeline and content through backward-design, and leverage district personnel and material resources to ensure best outcomes. Execute and refine $1.5 Million budget, planning within and across fiscal years, managing and approving expenditures to ensure compliance with HCPS and DoDEA regulations, and collaborating with district accountant on monthly and annual reconciliations and fiscal reports. Conduct market research on grant funded services and supplies. Evaluate bids, conduct interviews, hire training consultants and evaluator, execute contract actions to include sole source justification, and analyze Statements of Work for compliance with district and DoDEA policy. Keep records of all federal expenditures and district In-Kind contributions.Responsible for life-cycle management of 960 computers, including procurement, maintenance, tech refresh, and disposal. Complete and maintain records of biannual inventory of all technology, curriculum, and supplies purchased with federal grant funds.Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to determine progress toward grant goals. Develop and administer surveys and evaluate results to establish user baseline for the purpose of tracking growth as a result of grant-funded strategies, including trainings, working groups, and technology integration. Collaborate with external evaluator to evaluate grant implementation. Compile data, samples of evidence, and observations to complete semester and annual reports in adherence with DoDEA policy.

Designed, administered, and evaluated grade-level assessments which were aligned to both content and process Common Core standards, addressed multiple Depths of Knowledge (DOKs), and incorporated best practice in assessment design. Data gathered from these assessments was analyzed in a collaborative team environment, and any deficits were promptly addressed in targeted small group settings.Designed and implemented problem-driven, open-ended instructional units that incorporated technology, the Engineering Design Process, and both math and science standards. Instruction emphasized critical thinking, collaboration, and communication through accountable talk and informational writing in which students presented and defended their conclusions.Utilized regular data monitoring and analysis to identify students at risk in collaboration with grade level team. Provided intensive individualized remediation and support to a small group of the most at-risk mathematics students as part of our school’s Response to Intervention (RTI2). Closely monitored their progress in collaboration with grade-level team, special educators, the school psychologist, and administration. Every student who entered my RTI group within the first three-quarters of the school year was performing at or above grade level by the end of the year.Actively involved in school and district transition to a Digital Blended Learning Platform.

Designed and facilitated standards- based instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Incorporated best practices, utilizing real-world relevance to motivate students. Utilized large scale projects to incorporate multiple standards from all subject areas, mimicking real-world situations. Regularly collaborated with peers within and across grade levels on multiple large-scale projects, presentations, and symposiums. Utilized diversity as a spring-board for learning. Celebrated the wide array of backgrounds, nationalities, and languages present within the classroom. Engaged community members and parents within the classroom as appropriate, to offer their experience and expertise as students sought to solve real-word challenges. Co-chaired community-wide “STEMposium” to engage stakeholders, showcase student work, and celebrate the role of STEM in the military community. Over 500 hundred students, parents, and community members attended.
