During my time at GTS I have been introduced to many different areas of government IT operations which ranges from doing deliveries of technology, office moves, the tearing down and building of new systems within the Lifecycle team who make sure everyone's devices and servers are running efficiently on the hardware side. To then move onto the more logical and customer service based side of the company on the service desk, where I will handle the creation of new user accounts to accepting phone calls regarding some very simple tasks to ones where an entire server could be offline and I would have to help assist in getting that device back online in order to keep things running smoothly to avoid any major downtime and the loss of files and data. This experience has helped me to grasp a firm understanding of how key teams operate and what the proper etiquette within specific office types and environments.
