I am currently sitting and finalising my MSc in Mechanical Engineering (by Research) where I have worked on coating materials and surface engineering. This was a continuation of my B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering, where I specialized in Material Science/ Material Engineering. I enjoy the aspect of laboratory work and I am hard-working when it comes to R&D. I believe that my drive and knowledge, not only theoretical but also with aspects such as problem solving, alongside my previous experience within the aircraft industry, has given me a great footing to be a successful engineer. Due to my experience in sports (olympic handball), as both a coach and a player (captain), I believe I have great leadership qualities, a good ability to be educated as well as excellent communication and teamwork qualities. This commitment has also lead to time management skills being developed from a young age. I was fortunate enough to have an Erasmus experience in Prague, Czech Republic. This was a year-long experience in my third year for my undergraduate degree. From this experience I have gained many new skills as well as friends and acquaintances from all around the world. I have become more independent and have become more multi-cultural due to the living in a new environment for so long.
