I am a senior business leader with extensive experience in the banking, retail and care industries. I am valued for high level expertise in commercial sales growth, people development, risk management and customer service. I have worked at Director level with accountability for a fast changing, competitive and highly regulated environment and prior to this have been a successful Bank Manager with a reputation for exceeding targets through an open and accessible leadership style.I have developed and mentored management teams to ensure they are capable of adapting to change at pace as well as delivering a balanced business performance with a wider commercial focus and low-risk appetite. I am passionate about employee personal development and one of my key achievements was designing and implementing a bespoke training package for my region with the aim of up-skilling existing Branch Managers and equipping new-to-role Management colleagues; this was achieved through a series of workshops focused on cultivating each members's personal brands and leadership expertise. From a personal perspective, I have always strived for development opportunities as shown throughout my career path and journey through the branch network to Local Director level. Along the way, I was accountable for opening the first Halifax cold-start branch in South East England in 25 years, when I was selected as Branch Manager for Weybridge, Surrey. This involved recruiting and forming a new team, supporting the project management team and engaging in the local community to raise brand awareness and advocacy. With my 20 years of Management experience with Lloyds Banking Group, HalifaxBOS and, prior to this, Boots the Chemist, I have acquired strong judgement and influencing skills as well as being a confident leader of people across all roles and levels.
