Prospective Research, Inc. is focused on developing novel disease management solutions for the aquaculture industry.We focus on chemically replicating the natural microbial cross-talk that occurs in nature using chemical signalling molecules. In this way, we re-create a dynamic, more natural environment where chemically simulated competition occurs between microbes in a controlled manner. By doing so, we can turn secondary metabolite production on with the flip of a chemical switch. We leverage our technology to put a trillion microbial factories inside the gut of an organism, and use our chemical keys to start therapeutic compound production for local delivery inside of a living organism. Our current focus is on EMS in shrimp and sea-lice in salmon.We're a bio-prospecting company, and we talk to bacteria.

High throughput solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) supporting antibody development. Responsible for synthesis, cleavage, purification, QC analysis (HPLC and MALDI-TOF) and various cross linking chemistries for linking peptides and small molecules to carrier proteins. Big focus on chemically modifying peptides/proteins to support development of PTM antibodies.Responsible for all of developments in house RNA synthesis: synthesis (ABI 394), cleavage, purification, QC analysis (MALDI), formulation and annealing.

Organic Synthesis division of Chemical Biology. Primary responsibilities included synthesis, gel electrophoresis and HPLC purification of oligonucleotides. QC of oligonucleotides and small molecule substrates using PAGE and LCMS.Research project involved analyzing mRNA cap structure analogs for incorporation into run-off transcripts using T7 RNA polymerase. This required optimization templates (natural and synthetic), cap analog, NTP’s, buffers and enzyme components. The project resulted in a functional assay for assessment of mRNA cap analogs.
