• Trains surface forces in advanced tactics, techniques, & procedures (TTP) at all levels and all phases of training.• Focused on increasing the lethality and tactical proficiency of the Surface Force across all domains.• Brings teams together with cross-functional training to become the most tactically relevant warfighters in the SWO community.• Organizes and conducts classes, lectures, demonstrations, and seminars in a technical subject of primary interest to the Navy. Trains personnel to apply principles and develop skills in such areas as weapons, electronic warfare, and electromagnetic maneuver.

• Represented the battalion on a daily basis while working with the Japanese Ministry of Defense, Japanese Ground Self Defense Forces, and U.S. Forces Japan to facilitate major training exercises with 100% mission success rate.• Coordinated the overall process flow for major training exercises from inception to completion. Managed cross-functional teams to ensure the safe movements of 490 personnel and $80M worth of heavy equipment across Japanese islands.• Codified the standard operating procedures for each of the five major training locations, which led to more effective and efficient training operations saving key stakeholders over $3M.• Advised force commander on utilization of naval gunfire support. Planned and directed gunfire support operations. Interpreted maps, charts, and aerial photographs. Adjusted gunfire on targets, designating type of fire and projectiles to be used. Trained naval gunfire teams. Prepared and disseminated naval gunfire doctrine and plans. Scheduled and conducted gunfire training exercises and recommended action to improve gunfire support readiness.

• As acting Weapons Officer, led weapons department through a rigorous 3M certification scoring an overall 97%.• Developed a robust antiterrorism training program that ensured stringent compliance with international force protection regulations while deployed to the Mediterranean Sea.• As Antiterrorism Training Team Leader, efficiently organized and executed complex training events significantly improving watch standing and training team proficiency.• Coordinated the safe transfer of thousands of rounds of ordnance and 186 missile movements.• Assisted Weapons Officer by administering divisions of weapons department. • Created and delivered training to 280 staff operators that resulted in the successful completion of two highly complex infrequently performed plant evolutions.• Coordinated all aspects of the command's continuous training program for over 280 Officer and Enlisted staff from conception to assessment and examination. Monitored and tracked over 21,000 man-hours of training that resulted in a staff level of knowledge assessment as excellent during a major inspection from a governing organization.• Exercised superior instructor and mentoring skills that resulted in the graduation of 63 Officer and Enlisted students with 0% attrition, resulting in being selected as Instructor of the Class.• Directed teaching/learning activities in schools and training centers. Wrote learning objectives, prepared test items, evaluated instructional materials and the results of instructions and counseled students on academic learning problems.

• Qualified Engineering Watch Supervisor and Engineering Duty Petty Officer.• Submarine Nuclear Propulsion Plant Supervisor - Mechanical. Fully qualified by virtue of seniority, experience and demonstrated proficiency (including specified watch station qualification) to supervise the operation and maintenance of a submarine nuclear propulsion plant.• Submarine Squadron 20 Junior Sailor of the Year.• Ensured first time quality over several extended maintenance periods as Quality Assurance Inspector.• Coordinated and maintained quality assurance material storage surveillances and schedules, conducted subsafe quality assurance surveillances, documented field changes, verified and developed procedural documentation, conducted quality assurance safety surveillances, and reviewed work packages.
