*Designed complex mechanical structure using SOLIDWORKS for a project striving to put CubeSat technology on the Moon. Served as the lead mechanical designer for this project. *Thermally simulated and analyzed the effects of the Lunar environment on our spacecraft using MATLAB and ANSYS.*Reverse engineered existing mechanical designs for different aerospace-related projects to an industrial mil spec tolerance and advanced those designs to fulfill Space Science and Engineering’s needs.*Fabricated custom-designed parts with assembly and integration between electronics.*Worked in multidisciplinary groups with professional computer, electrical and mechanical, engineers to meet design requirements.*Performed vibrational analysis using ANSYS to solve structural problems discovered during random vibration testing. The implemented changes resulted in successful vibration testing.*Designed complex optical fixtures for use on a sounding rocket. Performed thermal and structural analysis to ensure optical components would remain within specified tolerances during the rocket flight.
