As a business analyst intern at Lumen Technologies, I was able to further develop my technical and soft skills. My skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce were heightened, and I gained experience with PowerBI, GainSight, and SQL. I also learned the importance of powerful presenting; being able to condense an 8-week project into a concise 15-minute presentation. Above all, I had the privilege of speaking with CEO Kate Johnson and connecting with team members from multiple fields such as project management, data analytics, and finance which align with my desires for the future. This was an unforgettable experience that I believe truly set me up for success in my future career.

As a guest advocate, it is my job to handle any and all types of guest interactions. Whether it be at the register, self-checkout, or guest service desk, it is my duty to effectively and efficiently handle guests and their needs. In addition to this, Target is a very diverse work setting, and it is necessary to form good relationships with people from numerous backgrounds.Drive-ups propose new challenges and opportunities. In this job, teamwork is essential since it is common to have to prepare and deliver over 10 orders at once with a staff of no more than three team members. Once orders are ready, I must efficiently deliver them to guests in a variety of situations. Unlike guest service, I only have a few moments to leave a positive, lasting impression on our guests, calling for concise and polite conversation.

Cognivue being a startup company gave me ample opportunities to get hands-on experience in multiple departments in the business. I worked in operations, finance, sales, marketing, and manufacturing throughout my time at Cognivue, and was able to work directly with the CEO, CTO, and VP of finance. My responsibilities consisted of data cleaning, researching customers and manufacturers, testing company software, and manufacturing the company's medical devices (and doing an office coffee run of course).

I tutored the undergraduate course Math448, Mathematical Statistics, through Binghamton University Tutorial Services. I tutor groups of up to eight students. You never know who is going to come to your sessions, so ample preparation is a necessity. Communicating effectively with small groups of students is crucial as students come from different backgrounds with different learning styles and knowledge of the subject. Doing all this while also being proficient in the course material myself, and managing my own courses and clubs calls for effective time management.
