To negotiate for, and procure a variety of assigned commodities including those which are a non-standard or of a technical nature. • Develops production schedule for assigned products providing sufficient lead time to procure raw materials and manufacturing components to meet production sales demand / forecast requirements. • Monitor plant adherence to schedules and facilitate actions to improve. Upon review, revise schedule when required. • Communicates with affected Sales / Warehouses when schedules are revised.• Reviews, analyzes and edits nonstandard orders against a defined set of input requirements. Identifies discrepancies and communicate with appropriate personnel to resolve discrepancies. Processes non-standard orders promptly and accurately to provide the next operation with requested set of output requirements. • Creates, prints, and issue Purchase Orders and Manufacturing Work Orders in timely manner.• Orders and scheduled deliveries of materials to be used in Production.• Orders MRO supplies and materials for other departments, as required.• Negotiate prices and identify cost reduction opportunities.• Performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances. • Establish and maintain product inventory levels throughout the supply chain that are consistent with business unit goals while maintaining required customer service levels.• Facilitate returns of non-conformance materials to suppliers• Identify supply chain continuous improvement projects to reduce inventory, improve cycle times, identify tolling opportunities, etc. and lead teams to address opportunities Show less
