As a production director, I operate state-of-the-art television news equipment. During newscast I operate a variety of equipment depending on my assignment for the newscast. Some days I am assigned to switch on a Kayak video switcher, operate audio on a Klotz audio board, or direct while operating graphics and robotic studio cameras. Prior to the newscast I set up and check that the studio is ready for the show. Between shows, I create graphics on Chyron Lyric, train others on graphic creation, shoot pre-produced news segments, and operate master control and monitor three on-air channels, as well as, segment shows so they are ready to air.

As a licensed pesticide applicator with FH Decks and Landscaping I have passed a course by the Office of Indiana State Chemist (OISC), which permits me to apply herbicides on our client's properties. I act as a liaison between our clients and the owner of the company. Aside from being a commercial fertilizer applicator, I also perform duties that arise within a landscaping company .

As a production assistant with WFFT-TV I used Avid News Cutter to edit national news stories. I was also was the floor director and studio camera operator.
