Engineered the x-axis drive system, including welded machine bases and a complex linear movement system. + Served as a Senior Engineer on a project to design and install mobile support platforms for Embraer in Brazil. Performed a majority of the design work, mentored 2 new engineers, and led final assembly in Brazil.+ Tapped by leadership to take on an additional, multi-week project to install and troubleshoot wing part indexes used for precision locating, all while continuing to keep the Embraer Brazil project on schedule.+ Travelled to the UK to evaluate the x axis installation process and deliver recommendation that improved installation times and reduced manufacturing time while strengthening overall design quality.+ Reduced cost to fabricate a set of large steel weldments 15%-20% by researching and ultimately implementing an option to “part out” the project – shifting from a single vendor to multiple vendors.
