Led the development of secure and extensible coding standards in Golang and mentoring junior engineers on the team, as well as building out several core libraries used in building many of our internal applications. Led the development and implementation of a brand new Kubernetes stateful deployments pipeline using type-safe configuration management tools like CUE and Timoni. The platform powers beta database deployments at New Relic, and consists of the following:- Custom built OCI artifact build system that hooks into GitHub to store configuration definitions in a container registry- Administration and hooks into block Kubernetes storage using OpenEBS and Mayastore, complete with HA replication, backups, and restores.- A Kubernetes operator / multi-controller architecture with custom database deployment types to launch and manage the deployment states of databases. This controller hooks into the Kubernetes server-side apply functionality offered by Timoni.Inherited and extended the configurations of managed cloud resources in GCP using Terraform and a custom built deployment system with Jenkins, and led the implementation of a GCP Redis Terraform module for external teams.Supported the existing Terraform stack for AWS deployments including AWS Aurora, AWS Elasticache, and AWS DynamoDB.Spearheaded the research and implementation of support for Vector Databases at New Relic using Postgres and pgvector.
