Ex-Navy Cryptologist left the world of computer programming for a life of administrative service making his customers smile. Then Toastmasters gave me the confidence to try something new. Working in commercial real estate I decided to take the real estate sales persons exam. Passed, then found a great bank and work long hours for a great team at First Republic and they rewarded me with position of a Market Analyst for all of my hard work.How it all began many years ago.After working in the United States Navy, as a Cryptologist I found the world of computer programing teaching myself to program in Visual Basic. After completing an EMS database project for an ambulance company in West Virgina, I decided to move to California. Working for a dot com I learned skills that would enable me to work in Excel. As the dynamics of the dot coms changed the world, I found a new passion using my organizational and Microsoft Office skills and has transformed into an administrative master, helping fulfill my customers lives and making their lives easier. Helping partners, directors, and mangers stay organized and gave me opportunities to work on marketing projects, presentations, and putting together events. Doing this work all for the price to see the smile on their face.During my time working in the administrative field, I took college courses at night and had taken many accounting and real estate courses. Which led me to PwC, LLP and Cushman & Wakefield. While working as a senior admin assistant in the valuation department at Cushman, the support I received, and the skills I learned at Toastmasters over the years gave me the confidence I needed to take the next step and take the California Real Estate Salesperson Exam. Passing the test on the first try really gave me more confidence in my real estate career. With all the additional responsibilities at Cushman over the years helped lead me to my new position at First Republic Bank.While working at First Republic Bank in the Collateral Valuations department as a residential assigner there was an opportunity for me to help with commercial reporting. Leveraging my skills, and my knowledge of Co-Star I was able to streamline the process in which they obtained the data, then automated the analysis portion by using pivot tables and formulas. This gave us bandwidth for additional reporting, and trust with the Chief Appraiser for me to assist her in other areas.Special Thanks to Elizabeth Champagne, and Lori Younakof
