I currently own Tenergy LLC and work as a project engineer that focuses on energy management, with a background and degree in energy engineering which has allowed me to become a Certified Energy Manager (#24601) and Certified Energy Procurement Professional (#1943). By utilizing my knowledge on improving energy performance and energy purchasing, I have saved over $2,000,000/year on utility bills - both industrial and residential.In my role as Sustainability Engineer, I created and implement an environmental and climate agenda for manufacturing operations in both North and South America. My focus is to take sustainability goals and translate what they mean for different segments of the organization such as operations, supply chain, sales, finance, and HR. By this we are able to cohesively work towards net-zero Scopes 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 because implementation techniques are easy to understand and correlate to what matters from a business perspective - efficiency and cost savings. At Höganäs-Americas, we are truly putting sustainability into meaningful practice on the financial, environmental, and climate fronts. As a person who has worked in and studied varying energy fields, I have a passion for efficiency as a whole. Most people classify energy engineering as "green engineering." While this is partially true because of the need to expand the implementation and development of renewable energy, I am a strong believer in the oil, coal, natural gas, and nuclear industries. My philosophy is that the United States should use as many of its resources as it can possess to build a stronger economy and workforce, whether in non-renewables or renewables.As an veteran of the Army National Guard, I️ have a strong urge to do things correctly, and a desire to help others to do the same. I️ was a squad leader who managed operations of dump trucks, front loaders, back hoe loaders, hydraulic excavators, bulldozers, graders, and scrapers. During my time as an NCO, I earned multiple NCO Leadership Awards within training environments and at the Brigade level.
