My name is Jake McDaniel. I am a senior majoring in Electronic Media and Theater Communication, managing the two radio stations, 88.7 The Diamond and HD3 UIndy Radio at the University of Indianapolis, working as a test proctor at the University of Indianapolis, and working as a part-time news reporter at 93.1 WIBC. With five semesters of practical radio experience, I’ve developed a thorough awareness of the broad scope of applied radio. My dedication to greatness is demonstrated by my performance during talk breaks, my sense of communication, and bringing my authentic personality to the audience. With an excellent basis in tone and communication, I am well-positioned to make important contributions to radio. One of my key aims is to improve storytelling through inventive scriptwriting, in which I plan to immerse myself in continual learning, staying current on evolving narrative strategies, and pulling inspiration from a variety of storytelling forms. I excel under pressure, and my journey so far demonstrates a dedication to talk breaks, connection with callers, and operation of sports boards on 88.7 The Diamond and HD3 UIndy Radio. My distinct combination of steadfast devotion to authenticity distinguishes me in the professional world. Aside from the technicalities, my radio experience has had instances when I was able to connect with people through the radio stations. I'm also working at RadioOne as a part-time news reporter for 93.1 WIBC-FM, and I've been stirring emotions and leaving lasting memories through my senses of tone and communication. After I graduate from the University of Indianapolis on May 3rd, 2025, my plan is to continue my career at RadioOne full-time.
