A passionate storyteller, Jake loves telling stories that move the heart. He started college studying acting at the University of North Texas and the University of Texas in Arlington. With a dream to make movies with an underlying Gospel message, he transferred to Dallas Baptist University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies and a minor in Communication in 2006. It is also there where he first started writing the screenplay for Run The Race. He then taught Communication Applications at Irving ISD near Dallas for 6 years winning the most inspirational teacher award back-to-back before departing to pursue making Run The Race into a full length feature film. In the fall of 2016 Run The Race went into production in Birmingham, AL. Eventually making it into theaters nationwide in the Feb. of 2019. Always wanting to make the biggest impact possible, in 2021, Jake accepted the position of Director of Development for Rising Light Ridge, the newest ministry of the Tim Tebow Foundation.Jake has been married since 2007 to his lovely wife Charity. They have 2 children, Silas (4) and just recently welcomed a baby girl Scarlett Lily in November of 2021. Hobbies for Jake obviously include acting, watching movies, and playing sports with his kids. He’s acted with the Linda McAlister Talent Agency since 2010 has been fortunate enough to be in over 100 commercials in the DFW area.
