I am an award-winning freelance theatre and film director, screenplay writer, poet and drama teacher based in Durham, UK.I am currently Artistic Director of Elysium Theatre Company, part of Elysium Creative Arts CIC. Drama schools I have worked at include the ALRA North, the Arden School of Theatre, the Birmingham Conservatoire of Acting, the British American Drama Academy, Drama Studio, Mountview Academy, Newcastle College and Rose Bruford.Online work includes the Covid-19 Monologues, 15 pieces of new writing commissioned, rehearsed and filmed under lockdown conditions during the Covid pandemic. These won an Olwen Wymark Award for services to new writing from the Writers Guild of Great Britain in 2021. One, #TheMoth was selected for nearly 30 international film festivals and won Best Monologue at the Kwanzaa Film Festival, Harlem NYC in 2022.As a film director I have directed two short films: 'The Visit' by Paul Ludden of MancMade Productions and 'Sorrow', written by myself for Changeling Films.In 2017 I founded Elysium Theatre Company which has produced 12 stage productions and the 15 Covid-19 Monologues.
