I currently work at Morrisons PLC, where I am a sales assistant, and have been doing so for the last 7 years, this was meant to be a stepping stone on to something else, but couldn't decide what path to take next. Before this, I worked in Somerset Care, and was a Domestic and Kitchen Assistant; combined, I have nearly 9 years of customer service experience.Over the last year I have been studying online part-time to complete my AAT Level 2 Accounting and Bookkeeping course. I have recently got back my last 2 results, with the Synoptic Exam marked in the high 80 percents, and the Accounting Software being in the top 90 percent. Overall, this brings my mark for the course in at a Merit, at some point I will revisit this course, and boost the scores up to bring me to the distinction grade. At the moment I am studying online with a company called Udemy, where I am doing an Excel course, to help me to be even better on the software.What am I hoping to achieve and get out of accountancy?Working in Morrisons for so long, as made me realise I need a change of environment, a new challenge, and new goals. I enjoyed Maths back at school, and love computers, so I thought accountancy would be right down my street. To begin with, I struggled, I couldn't get my head round it, but I didn't give up and I percevered through until I had my breakthrough. My end goals would be to work in accounting for a sports team, my absolute passion! The absolute dream goal, would be to work in America, for my NHL team, Florida Panthers!I am always open to an accounting job in anything to get onto the ladder, but my standout options would have to be the sporting, gaming, or automotive industries.Outside of working and studying I enjoy sports, supporting and following multiple teams, including Aston Villa Football Club, Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey, Bristol Flyers Basketball Team, Florida Panthers NHL team, as well as also following Tennis, Golf, Boxing, Wrestling, Olympics and much more! I also enjoy gaming in my spare time, photography, travelling and technology.
