During this time I was expected to be able to conceptually understand all process that are involved in the fabrication of structural steel and apply it to a wide array of projects that ranged from large grade structural steel trusses to custom steel handrails. Some of the skills that i used during this time included MIG welding, Arch welding, cutting with oxygen-acetylene torches, cutting with a steel band saw, carbon-arching, structural steel layout, plate shear operation, burn table fabrication and programming, machine cleaning steel, painting with a sprayer, overhead crane operation, fork lift operation, and general inspection of WIP/Finished Goods.
