Growing up in a large family, I appreciate the importance of listening, treating others with respect, showing appreciation, and a healthy dose of accountability. My interest in building relationships and creating value stems from being curious at an early age. The first two books that had a profound impact on my outlook were Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki, and How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.As a consumer of information, the intersection of people, growth, and transparency shaped where I invest my time. I do not believe in making tradeoffs between business and family or pursuing profit at the expense of people. After working at BIGEYE for over a decade, I was excited about shaping its next chapter and decided to go all-in with my co-owner, Damon Smith, and purchase BIGEYE in 2020. Our commitment to building a great business started with focusing on the people and culture first. Transparency and trust are paramount with our team & partners. We are committed to delivering value consistently, proactively, and in a caring manner. Our team at BIGEYE works hard to hit every deadline on budget and with great quality. Should we falter, our partners will be the first to know. Trust must be constantly earned, and we make this our top priority. Sometimes we get stuck living to work and not working to live. As an owner, it is important to lead by example in and outside of the office. Fortunately, I am able to spend quality time with my family watching movies, traveling, and playing golf. My family helps keep me grounded and they provide a healthy reality check on what matters.With the time available after family and work, I focus on one of my passions (thanks to Rich Dad, Poor Dad), investing in real estate. What started out as a hobby ended up becoming an avenue for my wife, various partners, and I to make a bigger difference. For several years now, we have collaborated with a nonprofit by providing access to housing for individuals in need of a peer "group-style" recovery approach.
