– Chosen for internship position through successful interview and recruitment process.– Primarily working within the youth academy reporting directly to the Junior Performance Analyst and Head of Academy.– Responsible for videoing, clipping, analysing gameplay and providing feedback to squad coaches and players to advise on future matches, training and strategies.– Competent and experienced in using SportsCode in clipping matches.– Competent in using Microsoft Windows Apps such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint as tools to feedback to coaches and players.– Work within a team of analyst interns and communicate effectively to ensure all academy games are recorded, clipped and uploaded efficiently.– Travel to every home and away game to ensure consistent coverage of all matches.– Last season I was responsible for analysis of the under-14 squad who went on to be undefeated through the season and won a triad of silverware, the team coach then requested I remain his analyst for the coming season.– Balance this internship alongside my full-time fourth year studies as well as part-time employment.

– As part of 3rd year studies students had to locate and organise a suitable 6-week placement within a sporting establishment.– Coaching and assisting coaching the under-10 under-14 squads became my prime responsibility with positions in coaching the other age groups also.– Worked alongside the Academy Sport Scientist to plan and conduct fitness testing and analysis of each squad within the academy to develop personal training programmes.– Other duties: planning and implementing training, organisation of team, community coaching within the local area, team and staff meetings conducting myself appropriately as a role model to the players, interactions with other members of staff.– Post-placement I was offered future employment in the clubs’ academy staff.

Coaching varied sports (football, rugby, hockey and basketball) for 4 weeks in 5 primary schools around Aberdeen.- Using appropriate time management to ensure attendance in school at least 20 minutes prior to class- Pre-programming teaching plans prior to class and being able to adapt these teaching plans- 1 week of individual coaching showing leadership skills throughout by taking classes alone and also leading the teaching team in some cases- Dealing with adverse behaviour and disciplining this in order to keep control of the classAberdeen Youth Games- 1 day sharing the coaching of 4,000 primary children through rugby- Organising activities for all children and ensuring they were occupied at all times- Communication between all other coaches and teachers from the schools on the day
