Within the Design Consultancy environment, I was exposed to a spectrum of innovative activities which has developed an excellent design skill set; understanding of design and creativity through undertaking design projects for a variety of Industries and clients. Responsible for managing my own projects and liaising directly with clients and manufacturers to allow the design and development of product for brands such as Samuel Heath, John Lewis and Performance Health Products.

Employed on a one year project centred on the implementation of a strategic methodology for design and development process activities for SMEs. Implemented and developed the project’s systems within a company to improve efficiency for the design for manufacture process. Installed a new 3D CAD System within the company, which I used to create a Standardised Parts template for the production drawings of 45ft Luxury Motor Yachts.Experience with working in a 3D CAD environment which included CAD modelling of 1000’s of parts and components; and the development of complex assemblies for below-deck systems. In addition to my involvement in the research programme, I also become involved in commercial activities, undertaking design briefs for the development of consumer products.

Internship. Designed bespoke executive furniture for clients such as; GAP, Thomson Tui, PepsiCo, SwissRE, Harley Medical Group, NFU, AXA, Consensus and Fauchier Partners.Created and presented to clients, initial concept work through to fully detailed 3D CAD assembly models of design offerings. Developed the use of Solidworks for all design activities.
