Originally hired as a Courtesy Clerk in April 2010 and promoted to Courtesy Clerk Trainer in 2011. During that time I trained and oversaw 10 new hires using Dierberg's "Extra Step" method. This method emphasizes the importance of excellent customer service and going above and beyond for each and every customer. Promoted to Produce Clerk in 2012. Position involved being able to work in a team as well as being an independent worker with self motivation. Heavy knowledge of products both in- and outside department and how to determine quality were essential to fully help with ambiguous customer requests.

Originally hired for Facility Frontline, I quickly cross-utilized and ultimately made the Member & Guest Services department my primary department. At the end of my time with MizzouRec, I had cross-utilized into five different positions in multiple departments. As a Senior Membership Specialist, I helped train new hires on the processes and procedures within the Membership Department. As one of the first points of contact, Membership Specialists had to be experts of facility rules to ensure safety and security of all members and guests. I also handled all member and guest transactions (processing membership payments, daily guest passes, etc.) as well as gave prospective members and students tours of the facility.

Interlude Music was sponsored by the University of Missouri Entrepreneurial Program. Students submitted business plans to a committee and the chosen business was given a retail space within the MU Student Center for one year, providing high foot traffic for the business. Interlude Music began with a focus to be a record label for student artists and bands. As our year progressed, we shifted our focus to being an event management business. Interlude assisted new artists put their dream into motion, while providing support to more established artists with busy schedules. My role in Interlude Music was Co-Owner Financial Planner. My responsibilities included tracking sales in Quickbooks and Sqaure's Point of Sale application. I built our financial reports and presented those to the Entrepreneurial Program committee as an indicator of our growth and performance throughout the year. I also oversaw 15 interns who worked in-store and also with our artists.
