About Jungle Jake
In 2021, I left my role as a tech exec and moved to the Peruvian Amazon to build a retreat centre.8 years earlier, during an Ayahuasca retreat, I had a vision to create a place where people could reconnect with themselves, nature, and sacred plants. 10 years and 3 startups later, I was living a workaholic lifestyle. I was burnt out and unfulfilled. So, I packed up my life and immersed myself in the jungle to follow that vision.3 things define my path: people, plants, and creativity. I find purpose where they intersect, and see myself as a bridge between them.My journey with cannabis hasn’t always been balanced. I found myself in a pattern of excessive use and dependency. Through lots of trial and error, I've come to know the importance of a conscious relationship with the plant -- one rooted in intentionality, respect, and balance.I’ve studied astrology, herbalism, Ayurveda, alchemy, and shamanism, which have shaped my approach to life. These traditions inform how I now work with cannabis, which, when used intentionally, can be as powerful for transformation as Ayahuasca. In the right setting, with the right cadence, cannabis facilitates profound healing as an entheogen. Today, I lead Conscious Cannabis, a community and learning experience exploring cannabis for spiritual growth, wellness, and creative expression.
