Andrew is CEO of EnvEcon Decision Support, a specialised economics and decision-support company operating out of Dublin, Ireland. Under his direction, EnvEcon provides high calibre research across every sector of the economy, extending from nationally focused analyses to European and global regions. EnvEcon specialise in the appraisal, design, implementation and management of policies and interventions to achieve (or support) a defined political or corporate objective. Their breadth of sectoral and thematic expertise afford the capacity to assess and design responses that consider multiple impact areas, whilst their diverse technical skillsets allow for an adaptable and robust methodological response to any given analytical challenge. In parallel with his core work at EnvEcon, Andrew has served, and continues to serve on a number of national and International expert groups and Task Forces. This includes work for the Irish Government, European Commission and United Nations ECE. Furthermore Andrew has worked as a consultant to bodies such as Morgan Stanley, SIDA and the World Bank with regard to investment appraisal, program evaluations and international development. An economist by background, Andrew completed his academic training in 2003 with a PhD from University College Dublin in Environmental Policy following on from a Masters in Environmental Science in 2000 and an undergraduate degree in Economics and English. Andrew went on to complete two post-doctoral positions. The first focusing on project building and funding proposal development. The second on international integrated assessment modelling for decision support.
