Responsible for teams of hardware, software, and materials engineers working on selective laser sintering 3D printing technologies. Currently defining and driving the roadmap for approximately 60 engineers, program managers, and technical managers. This roadmap spans new hardware and materials R&D, as well as software improvements for current technology. Initiatives have included:- Setting headcount and roadmap for multiyear $25M+ R&D projects- Tasked by the CEO directly to increase market adoption of flagship products, by leading Hardware, Software, and Process Engineers to improve the performance and reliability of professional 3D printers- Key leader in aligning engineering projects with executive and founder visions, keeping product releases on schedule, progress reported to executive teams, and consensus maintained between engineering leaders- Technical Program Manager for Process and Controls research and development, ensuring fundamental research is translated into customer impacting features via OTA software updates- Analysis of field performance and synthesis of the voice of the customer for key products, transferring field insights into engineering projects- Technical leader responsible for launching a new hardware accessory designed for higher reliability printing, from fundamental research and process optimization, through to hardware NPI in China

Process changes and quality improvements prevented millions of dollars in RMA costs in 2019 and 2020.- Displayed record of identifying and hiring against personnel gaps in the growing organization – including Formlabs’ first Data Analysts, Services Engineers, Document Control Specialists, and Customer Quality Engineers.- Co-author of Formlabs Market Requirements Documents and Product Requirements Documents. We launched a consumer 3D printer in 1 year in a skunkworks setting. Prior to the Dremel 3D20 3D Printer, Dremel sold no prior digital fabrication tools or products. I was brought on as a resident 3D printing expert and advocate. My work spanned many disciplines and was key to launching the product on time and in scope, including:Validation and verification of subsystems, features, and full printers, process engineering of 3D printer control systems, business development and go to market strategy, partnerships, customer team prep, and brand marketing.
