I'm a recently graduated physics PhD from the University of New Hampshire. My time at UNH was spent working under Dr. Shawna Hollen in an experimental condensed matter physics lab. As her first graduate student, I had the opportunity of helping build the lab from the ground up. In my time as a graduate student I collected skills by working with STM imaging, electronic transport, lithography, instrument communications, hardware, and MATLAB.My research focused on the effects of disorder in van der Waals materials. My discoveries in the field help direct attention on specific inconsistencies and impurities from crystal growth, as well as their implications.
